This past weekend I started out with a stack of recipes that I had found on Pinterest that I was dying to try out. When it came right down to it- the hubs really just wanted my tried & true chocolate chip cookies instead. So - while the recipe was nothing new- I was determined to find some joy in the whole experience. That's where the photos come into play. As I have mentioned before- I am really wanting to work on my food photography more- and so I used these cookies this weekend to do just that. (Note- I know that the theme for You Capture this week is Colorful- I would have to say that the tones picked up in the sparkling glass- along with the rich color of the cookies is my stretch for colorful this week)
I will be making some of the other treats I had planned on here in the coming days- so more treats to come.

So pretty and dreamy shots!!! I love that one with stack of cookies! So cool!
Love that sort ofcookie no calories ;)
Those look yummo. Awesome shots btw!
Oh... yes please!! They look delicious! =)
Very creative, Gina. You made these cookies look like a gourmet treat! Well done. :)
Agh! What is it with cookies and me today? Seriously, yours is the third (in a row, too!) email/blog post I'd received that's all about cookies! I just ordered 2 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and left a comment on a friend's post about cookies and now I come to yours. :) Should I go & buy some now? (I still haven't recovered from the cookie baking marathon I had over Christmas!)
Your cookies look super yummy! Wish I could just reach out and take out. =)
Can I come over, please?? Those look seriously delicious! Gorgeous work on your shoot too. I especially love those last 3 shots. Well done mama!!
Yum, indeed! The pics turned out great. Sure wish I could have one of those cookies..... ;)
Great foodie shots! I totally agree - I try new dessert recipes, new cookies and all sorts of things throughout the holidays, but nothing tastes better than my tried and true chocolate chip cookies, that we have had forever! It's just comfortable and cozy feeling, I guess, besides being delish!
Oh, honey, those look delish. Such tasty looking pictures.
You've done such a good job with all these food photography photos - so good that I can't choose a favourite. I'm sure your family will be encouraging your experimentation with photographing food, these cookies look mouth watering.
I'll take one or a dozen of those!
yes, i would like some. thank you!
Ahhh... YUM. Gina, you take amazing foody pics! These are picture perfect. LOVE the cookies all stacked up.
Pertty sure you just added baking cookies to my to do list today!
OH goodness, those look SO Good. And you did a wonderful job photographing them. Too bad I can't just reach into my computer and each one (Or 4). ;)
The second last shot is absolutely fantastic. The bad thing in food shots is that the reader starts to drool:)
My husband is the same way. He'd much rather I go with something tried & true than use him as a guinea pig. :)
Great shots! Love the second and second to last (the stack with white space)!!
What kind of lens are you using?

Gina! These are some gorgeous food shots to be sure! And your lighting is stunning. Really well done. I love food photography too, even started a blog on it a while back, but I haven't had the chance to continue with it because it gets so involved (the whole process), but I dream of shooting food! Ha hah! I do. :) These are all fantastic images. Kudos to you!
