Monday Rewind- 9/19/2011 & Mingling w/ My Teen

I have to first say that I'm sorry I didn't get to putting my Listicles together this week- again.  So much going on & I have a house guest this week on top of it all.  Life is out of sorts for us right now- and for those of you that know me - you know that being off schedule doesn't work for me.  I like things orderly & predictable.  But I am trying to roll with it for the end result.

So Autumn- or is it Teen/ Adult portraits??  I wasn't sure this week- Jill's blog said one thing & Ashley's said another.  So Autumn- not a whole lot of that around here.  While it's Cool-ER here - Upper 90's to 101 degrees is not exactly what I call coooooool weather.  I know it will be November before I am pulling out the coat and UGGS and by then all of you will be talking winter.  So I chose to go with the prompt of teen/ adult portraits.  My son is now a teen- so he qualifies, right?!  Friday my 50mm arrived- I had been waiting nearly a week for it and when FedEx pulled up- it was all I could do to not run out the door & attack the guy for my package.  I was ecstatic! The box was all crushed & I was worried that my precious lens I had been waiting so long for would be ruined- but the inside box was fine & it works great.  This is what I was able to capture of my son a few minutes after pulling it out of the box. He is the one that fights me the most when it comes to pics- so capturing him while he watched his NASCAR race was the best I could get from him.

On Saturday I posted my photo of my blueberries for Bokeh Saturday- and teased you a little bit with how delicious they looked.  Now I want to share with you what I did with them. Nothing fancy- just some muffins- Recipe by Paula Dean found HERE.  So quick- so easy- so GOOD!!!!

Now on to the hop.

OH my goodness those muffins look SOOOOOO freaking delicious!!! I love that the blueberries are fresh and that you can just see them oozing yumminess in the muffins!! Anything by Paual Dean is uh-mazing. Surprisingly, I'm so disinterested in cooking and baking that I have never tried to make fresh muffins but, this is really making me rethink that! hehe. Your son has a great smile in every picture you take of him. He's a very photogenic kid!

Those are some great portraits of your son! The good thing about him watching the nascar race is that he's happy and interested instead of the "mom, do you have to?" - whatever works, hey?

Your blueberry muffins look delicious. Now I want to make some! :)
