It's Monday & time for Shoot & Edit. The prompt today is Bright & Colorful. Well- I sort of followed it. I decided to take the plunge into RAW over these last couple days- and so I am super excited to see how these turn out when I start editing.
The monsoons came on back & have given us the usual AMAZING sunsets- but we also woke Saturday morning to a rainbow. What a spectacular gift for crawling out of bed much earlier than I had hoped to for a Saturday. So we have some shots with some very bright light, some very colorful sunsets & then the rainbow- which was not only the BRIGHT spot in my day, but colorful as well. THEN....... we had 2 more rainbows show up the same evening- again, right over our house. AMAZING. Then as they faded- yet another FABULOUS sunset. What a great day for some weather.
I have no clue what I will do with them- but it will surely be a learning process since these are my first RAW images. :) These ones I am uploading for today's SOOC are the .jpg versions since I have not edited them & made the smaller for web. For those of you that do this all the time- is this the normal way to do it?? Or is there something I am missing?

I also wanted to share with you some photos that I took a couple weeks ago. I have been meaning to post them- but with all the birthday stuff going on, it just had not happened yet. We had some awesome thunderstorms come through here back then & I was able to capture some raindrops. As you all know- I am a sucker for capturing water movement in general- so that explains why I post about it a lot. We also have had some more storms come through here this past weekend- so I may post photos of that once I get the time to get them ready.

But, really, in this post it had been enough with those gorgeous rainbows. They are absolutely stunning.
BEAUTIFUL! Can't get over that sky & am jealous over that amazing rainbow. WOW! Yes, I upload the .jpeg SOOC shot - you can't upload the .dng file. You'll get an incompatible format message of some sort. You'll love shooting in RAW. You have so much more control over your images. Gorgeous stuff, Gina!

Your SOOC shots are gorgeous already. With RAW, you have to convert to JPG, so I typically will just watermark and resize for the web...you can't post as RAW images. :)

I could sit outside and stare at the sky for hours if it looked like that here. Although I bet it's a little hot over there to be outside.
