Okay- I know that Casey isn't hosting the hop anymore- But I love it & wanted to still do my best to capture myself with the kids each week because she has already done so much in the way of changing how I feel about being photographed. I had been meaning all week to capture Bubbles for Crazy Days of Summer- but that didn't happen either. So much going on this week- so today will just be a recap & sharing my favorite shot of the week.

I was so pleased that I was able to do it without a macro lens.
I know I have been posting pool shots all week but on Tuesday we went back to my neighbors house to play some more, have a BBQ & enjoy the day. Her granddaughter was visiting & so the kids were super excited to swim with their friend.
After swimming we had some BBQ ribs & beer can chicken, corn on the cob & all sorts of other yummy things. I was able to capture some nice shots at dusk- it was gorgeous out by the pool.
My neighbor thought of everything. We roasted marshmallows & made s'mores with the kids.
They LOVED it.
I absolutely LOVE this shot- It wasn't until I saw it full screen that I realized that I actually captured the stars. No- I didn't enhance them or anything. They were just there- I love it when that happens.
Now my favorite shot of the week- this one of my son. This is my favorite shot this week because it was so random- I just happened to be outside practicing with the camera & turned & started clicking while we talked about things. It was genuine & REAL & I love it.

That first shot is simply fantastic! Nicely done. I'm living vicariously through all the pool pics so post away. I love it - her backyard is beautiful and I'm imagining myself there with you guys floating around in the water, playing with the kids and snapping pics. :)

I just love your photos now that you got a better camera, which shows that you always had the talent, but lacked equipment! All the colors are gorgeous and your kids are adorable of course!
